Hello
Hi, I'm Anthea, the heart and hands behind RAMLOET. My journey into the world of creativity and design began at a young age. My father’s ability to transform our home with his handcrafted furniture and renovations ignited my passion for creativity and styling. I would spend hours rearranging my bedroom, fascinated by how small changes could breathe new life into a space. My grandparents’ homes, with their walls filled with family photographs and art, whispered stories of heritage and history and this inspired my love for creating warm spaces that tell personal stories. Despite this early passion, I never fully considered interior design and similar creative fields as career options. Instead, my interests led me through a variety of roles while always carrying an appreciation for creativity and artistry in my personal life.
My career background has been a mosaic of diverse experiences. As a flight attendant, I travelled extensively, experiencing different cultures and their unique approaches to design. This journey deepened my understanding of how spaces can tell stories and influence our lives. However, the call of home and creativity eventually brought me back to New Zealand, where I briefly attended art school. Yet, practicality led me to seek stability in a banking job.
Now, as a mother, I find immense joy in creating a nurturing haven for my family. Balancing motherhood with my creative pursuits has been a gradual and fulfilling journey. Through RAMLOET, I share my return to my passion for creativity, crafting unique wall hangings inspired by the natural world. Each piece I create is a labour of love, thoughtfully designed to become a cherished addition to your home.
Thank you for being here and joining me on this creative adventure.
Warmly,
Anthea
