Frequently Asked Questions

General FAQs

**What is Ramloet?

Ramloet is my art practice, centred on nature-inspired, sculptural works. Each piece is thoughtfully made to reflect a connection to the natural world, blending form, texture and a quiet sense of mindfulness.

**What kind of art do you create?

I create one-of-a-kind, textured artworks using materials like wood, plaster and natural fibres. Every piece is made by hand, with an emphasis on intentionality and calm. They’re designed to bring a grounding, reflective presence into a space.

**How can I purchase your artwork?
You can buy my artwork directly through my website www.ramloet.com, or follow me on social media for updates on new collections.

Commission FAQs

**Do you accept commissioned artwork?
Yes, I’m happy to work on custom commissions that suit your vision. Feel free to contact me to start a conversation about your ideas. I also have a handy checklist available on my contact page to help you prepare for your commission.

**What’s the process for commissioning a custom piece?
The process starts with an initial consultation where we’ll discuss your ideas, referencing any of my previous works, specific sizes, or themes you have in mind. After we agree on the details, I’ll provide a quote and a timeframe. Once that’s approved, a 50% deposit is required to begin the project, and I’ll proceed with the design.

**How long does it take to complete a commission?
Typically, a commissioned piece takes between 4 to 8 weeks, depending on the complexity of the project and my current workload.

**Can I request changes during the commission process?

Yes, you’re welcome to request changes at any stage up until the design is finalised. I’ll share progress updates along the way, and once the final design is confirmed, the process moves into making rather than revising.

Artwork Maintenance FAQs

**How do I care for my Ramloet artwork?
My artworks are low-maintenance. Dust them gently with a soft, dry brush and avoid direct sunlight, excessive moisture, and harsh chemicals to maintain their texture and quality.

**Can I display your artwork outdoors?
My pieces are designed for indoor use. However, I can create custom commissions using weather-resistant materials if you would like a piece for outdoor display.

**What should I do if my artwork gets damaged?
If your piece is damaged, please contact me as soon as possible. I offer repair services for minor damage and can advise on more serious issues.

Sustainability FAQs

**What materials do you use in your artwork?
I work with a range of materials including plaster, natural fibres, paint, and timber. Wherever possible, I choose options that are low-impact and consciously sourced. Each piece is made with care—both in how it looks and how it’s brought into the world.

**How do you practise sustainability?

I approach sustainability as a steady thread that runs through how I work. I minimise waste, repurpose where I can, and avoid overproduction. With each completed piece, I take a moment to give back to the earth. Often it’s something simple, like scattering seeds or composting leftover materials. It’s a small gesture to honour the process and express gratitude.

Payment and Shipping FAQs

**What payment methods do you accept?
I accept a range of payment methods including major credit cards, digital wallets. POLi for NZ customers, Alipay for select international clients and manual bank transfers.

**Do you offer international shipping?
Yes, I ship worldwide. Shipping costs are calculated at checkout, and customs fees may apply depending on your country. You can view more details in my Shipping Policy.

**What is your return policy?
Since my artworks are bespoke, I don’t accept returns on custom pieces or change of mind. However if your artwork arrives damaged or is not as described, please get in touch within 3 days of receipt. I’m committed to resolving any concerns promptly and fairly. You can view more details in my Refund Policy.
