Glyph

On the East Coast of Aotearoa lies the Moeraki Boulders. These ancient boulders worn over centuries show the beauty found in gradual transformation.
This piece is called Glyph. Its small size means it sits well on a simple kitchen shelf or an overlooked narrow wall space. Glyph was made with the tactile experience in mind. The patterns and organic shapes are a bit like pebbles that have been shaped by the wind over time and the gold edging represents the horizon. 
My hope is that Glyph offers a moment of reflection. A reminder of the way nature communicates through texture and pattern.
At its core, it’s a meditation on self-discovery and how it can open into a connection with something larger than ourselves.
