Murmur
Murmur is a vertical plaster relief on a wood panel. Soft, hand worked lines rise and turn creating a rhythm that shifts with the light. The surface holds small variations from the making process, giving gentle texture without crowding the eye.
The piece is finished with an oak look frame that sits close to the work and keeps the focus on the relief. Its measured scale is 70cm x 50cm and the palette stays restrained. Each mark is laid by hand using simple tools. Plaster is applied, shaped in passes and lightly refined. A clear finish protects the work while preserving a matte feel. Murmur stands well on its own or as part of a small grouping.
